My love of animals and nature runs deeply, and I am opposed to animal cruelty. When animal remains are used in my pieces, they are either scavenged by myself in the forest, found by someone else in the wild, or are sourced from trusted ethical vendors who only procure cruelty-free specimens from natural deaths/sheds (ex. bones from a pet who passed away, antler points/feathers/skins/teeth naturally shed by cared-for animals).

I use these parts in my designs to honor the role they played in the animals' lives and to breathe a new life and beauty into them.

 

Are the crystals in your pieces ethically procured?

I source most of my crystals from the local crystal shop I work at here in Nashville, TN.  That shop has been around for 20 years and strives to source from the most ethical mines/rock hounds in the business.  Quite a few of the stones (like Selenite, various Quartzes, Fluorite, various Calcites, etc.) have actually been found locally in Tennessee.  A minority of the crystals I use are found from other independent rock hounds/sellers and are always fair trade.

 

Do you ship internationally?

Unfortunately, I do not offer shipping outside the continental United States at this time.  It is hopefully something that I can offer in the future, though!

 

What is your processing time?

Most of my pieces are made to order, meaning that I start a new piece from scratch when a new order is placed.  Depending on the complexity of the pieces/size of the order, it could take 2-5 days to prepare your order before shipping.  Let me know if you need your order sooner and I can try to expedite the process!

 

What is your return/refund policy?

Many of my designs incorporate naturally fragile elements like bones and crystals. If an item arrives damaged in shipment or breaks within 7 days of arrival, please contact me! I will work to send you a replacement free of charge as soon as possible. Refunds are issued on a case-by-case basis.

 

Do you take custom requests? 

I do!  Just send me a message through the contact form on this website or on Instagram @toothandneedleshop with the details of your request.  If it is something that I feel confident in creating, I’d love to make it for you! 

That being said, I will not accept a request if it is a direct copy of another artist’s work. If you’re inspired by another creator’s design, you and I can collaborate on something with a similar feel while still being unique and special. 🤍
